Susan Wingate
Susan Wingate can write, speak and entertain all in the same breath! This wild spirit is a fiction writer, a poet, playwright—and an actress. A native Arizonian and a graduate of Arizona State University, today, she lives on an island paradise in Washington where magical writing is created. She’s written three novels and one collection. Her second novel, Bobby’s Diner was released in February of 2009 and is one of those books the reader can’t put down.
Her novels, short stories, poetry, articles and plays consistently receive awards and acclaim. Susan is a featured writer for the Arizona Author’s Association newsletter and a contributing writer for several other magazines. She’s a fantastic writer and speaker, yet an even better instructor of writing. Both university level writing courses and author classes teach the writing and book marketing process. Everyone’s favorite topic is the art and science of crafting a captivating story from beginning to end; with no sagging in the middle. Her bold guidance opens the students’ minds to beef up sentences, create compelling characters and weave stories that are memorable. She’s a truly gifted communicator on all levels.
